WHA Group Co-Hosts Walk Run and Tree Planting Activities to Promote Health and Environmental Awareness

To celebrate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s 90^th birthday on August 12, WHA Group, Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and WHA industrial estate customers jointly organized a 5 km walk-run event to promote health and well-being. Over 350 participants joined the early morning walk-run at the Nongplalai Reservoir in Pluakdaeng, Rayong, followed by a tree-planting project to support environmental conservation, prevent the greenhouse effect and reduce global warming.

Participants planted a total of 2,800 gurjan, bamboo and yellow trumpet flower tree saplings that is expected to offset 59,586 kgs of CO² in 3 years. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Pluakdaeng Hospital to purchase medical equipment.
