WHAUP-BorgWarner Join Forces to Reduce Global Warming, Opening 700-kWp Solar Rooftop Project

Mr. Punrapee Noparumpa (center left), Director of Power Business Development, WHA Utilities and Power Plc (WHAUP), recently congratulated Mr. Gregory Michael Bastian (center right), Plant Manager of BorgWarner PDS (Thailand) Co., Ltd, and his team during the opening of the 700 kWp Solar Rooftop Project on the BorgWarner factory rooftop in the Eastern Seaboard (Rayong) Industrial Estate. Invested and installed by WHAUP for selling electricity to BorgWarner under a 20-year power purchase agreement, this is an environmentally-friendly clean energy project, which helps reduce up to 12,500 tons of CO₂ emissions. Moreover, the project is to help BorgWarner save energy up to 20,396,890 units throughout the contract and it is in line with both companies’ commitment to put the importance on clean energy as well as their targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions toward "Net Zero Emissions".
