BOI, CHANGAN and WHAID Host Business Matching Event to Open Doors for Thai EV Businesses and Supply Chain

Bangkok, Thailand – June 5, 2024 – Ms. Ladda Rojanavilaivudh, Executive Vice President of Industrial Land and Building Customer Development at WHA Industrial Development PLC (WHAID), No.1 of industrial estates, developer with total integrated solutions, utilities, and energy in Thailand, participated in the 51st CHANGAN Sourcing Day business matching event. The event, organized by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), CHANGAN AUTO SOUTHEAST ASIA, and WHA Industrial Development PLC. was held at Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok.

The business matching event aimed to connect Thai automotive parts manufacturers with CHANGAN, a leading Chinese EV automaker. A total of 232 companies with 445 representatives participated in the event. CHANGAN showcased sample parts that will be procured locally, including High Voltage Harness, Outside Door Handle, E-Drive, Cross Car Beam (Die Casting), Intelligent Thermal, Outside Door Mirror, and Headlining / Carpet.

CHANGAN selected 76 parts manufacturers (77 pairs) to participate in business discussions with six procurement teams from CHANGAN: Interior & Exterior Group, Stamping Group, Sealing and Sound Absorption Group, Aluminum Die-Casting Group, Suspension System Group, and Electrical Parts Group
