Taiwanese Company to Set up Pipes Factory at Hemaraj’s Eastern Seaboad Industrial Estate (Rayong)

Taiwan-based Kwong Iee Steel Co., Ltd. recently signed a contract with Hemaraj Land And Development Plc to purchase 16.16 rai of land at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong). The company will set up a manufacturing facility to produce cold draw steel pipes mainly for export to Asian region.

Kwong Iee Steel’s new facility, being set up at a cost of Baht 480 million, is the first of its kind in Thailand. The production capacity of the plant is 1,500 tons per year. The company selected Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), ESIE, to avail of the BOI Zone 3 benefits and ESIE’s proximity to Laem Chabang Deep Seaport. Cold draw steel pipes manufactured at the facility will be supplied to electronic and automotive companies in Thailand and other regional markets.
