Mazda Raises Production Capacity with New Engine Machining Factory in ESIE

Mazda Powertrain Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, MPMT), an affiliate of Mazda Motor Corporation, recently held the grand opening ceremony of its new engine machining factory at Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong), Chonburi province, located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The new facilities raise production capacity from 30,000 to 100,000 units, SKYACTIV engines annually. Moving forward, MPMT will start production of the SKYACTIV-G 2.0, an engine that will be supplied to Mazda’s assembly plants in Malaysia and Vietnam, as well as Thailand.
