HEMARAJ’S INDUSTRIAL ESTATES HAVE NO FLOODING

Following the flood situation in many areas in Thailand, Hemaraj has been monitoring the situation closely. Despite the unfortunate inundations in many provinces, we would like to report that Hemaraj’s 7 Industrial Estates are not affected by flooding at all for the following reasons:
Chonburi and Rayong: Hemaraj operates six industrial estates in the two provinces, five of which are protected from flooding due to natural terrain elevation. Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate (Hemaraj CIE), Hemaraj Chonburi Industrial Estate 2 (Hemaraj CIE 2), Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (ESIE), Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Hemaraj ESIE) and Hemaraj Rayong Industrial Land (Hemaraj RIL) are all situated on high ground, ranging from +44 to +134 meters above the mean sea level.
While Hemaraj RIL is located in the vicinity of several reservoirs, terrain features in the area can divert floodwater into the Rayong River before the industrial estate itself is threatened. This natural protection is also shared by the nearby Hemaraj Eastern Industrial Estate (Map Ta Phut) (Hemaraj EIE).
Saraburi: Hemaraj Saraburi Industrial Land (Hemaraj SIL) – which sits 6 meters higher than the mean sea level – remains well fortified against the flood tides with a system of dikes 2 meters higher as well as canals.
Prachinburi: Hemaraj Ready Built Factory Park 1 @ Hi-Tech Kabinburi is at an elevation of 29 meters and has no impact from inundation elsewhere in the province.
