Insights and forecasts shared by industry professionals shed light on

WHA Industrial Development hosted the 2019 edition of the Investors Club Meeting and Charity Golf Event last November 22 with the enthusiastic involvement of over 100 participants at the Pattana Golf & Sports Club in Chonburi.

Kicked off by Mr David Nardone, this year’s gathering was graced by Mr William Malek, Senior Executive Director of SEAC. He expounded on how Thailand’s manufacturing sector can successfully face new challenges and achieve more in a disruptive world.  The following guest speaker, Mr Jessada Thongpak, Associate Manager of IHS Markit Automotive, shared the automotive industry’s outlook and trends for the coming years. Everyone listened attentively as Mr Tanin Subboonrueng, Vice President of Industrial Estate Operations, explained the infrastructure improvements in the Eastern Economic Corridor and presented WHA Group’s megaproject – WHA Industrial Zone 1-Nghe An, in Central Vietnam.  Many participants expressed their interest in Nghe An as a strong manufacturing base and gateway to major markets in Asia and beyond.

The delicious lunch was followed by a relaxing golf tournament on the club’s lush 18-hole course. Birdies and pars kept the scores low as players concentrated on their game.

At the dinner and prize ceremony, the ambiance was friendly and cheerful as participants donated generously for WHA’s charity projects. The crowd cheered when this amount was matched by WHA, bringing the total collection to 210,380 Baht

“The WHA Industrial Development family is always ready to help local communities in numerous ways.  We had a very successful fundraiser this year, thanks to the generosity of our customers, partners and friends,” said Mr David Nardone, Group Executive, Industrial and International, WHA Industrial Development PLC.  “It is a pleasure to host this charity event because of the great atmosphere and vibe. We get together for a good cause, which is to make the health and wellbeing of our neighboring communities better.”

Well done to everyone who took part and contributed to this successful event that raised awareness, built camaraderie and reinforced friendships. See you all again next year for the 2020 edition.
